At the hallowed grounds of Crestwood RC Raceway, the 2025 season kicked off with a bang as Cruisers RC took on the Techno ET48 2.0 Truggy. Sourced from the wild lands of Facebook Marketplace, this beast boasted Hobbywing electronics and a 2200 KV sensored motor, ready to tear up the track. However, a dodgy speed control setup threatened to rain on the parade, with an XT90 connector playing a dangerous game of chicken. Despite the setbacks, the previous racer's body was slapped on, and the J Concepts Triple D's tires were put to the test.
As the Truggy hit the dirt, it was clear that power was not in short supply. The understeer on loose terrain provided a hair-raising challenge, demanding finesse on the throttle like a surgeon's hand. With each lap, the driver danced on the edge of control, pushing the limits of the machine. The wet section of the track offered a glimmer of hope, hinting at better performance once conditions improved. As the day progressed, lap times started to shape up, promising a fierce competition once the track received its much-needed watering.
Despite the initial hurdles, the Techno ET48 2.0 Truggy proved to be a formidable contender, showcasing its prowess on the track. With a delicate balance between power and control, the driver navigated the challenging terrain with skill and determination. As the sun set on the day's practice laps, anticipation grew for the main event, where the true potential of the Truggy would be put to the ultimate test. The stage was set for an epic showdown, with adrenaline and excitement fueling the drive for victory.
